Surimi Rice Salad, with Peas and Corn

Our Sunday recipe this week was Sanders’ choice — a surimi and rice salad.  I was rather skeptical, as I am not usually one for imitation *anything*, but as soon as I tasted it, I was excited.  Not only by the taste, but also because this salad has so many possibilities.

Everybody has bad memories about their childhood, when they were forced to drink hot milk with honey and onions… ewwwwwww!!
But do try it without onions – just milk and honey. It is incredibly good – and also, the one and only effective cure for sore throat.
Under no circumstances, do not try it with lukewarm milk. [...]
