{"id":142,"date":"2007-11-08T14:23:36","date_gmt":"2007-11-08T19:23:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thisfoodthing.wordpress.com\/2007\/11\/08\/peanut-butter-chocolate-bars\/"},"modified":"2009-12-01T14:32:21","modified_gmt":"2009-12-01T19:32:21","slug":"peanut-butter-chocolate-bars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thisfoodthing.com\/index.php\/2007\/11\/08\/peanut-butter-chocolate-bars\/","title":{"rendered":"Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars<\/h2>\n<p>2 cups peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)<br \/>4 cups powdered sugar (10x sugar or icing sugar)<br \/>1\/2 cup butter<br \/>3 cups of a crunchy cereal, like rice chex<br \/>2 cups chocolate chips<br \/>1\/2 cup of chopped peanuts  <\/p>\n<p>In either a sauce pan, or the microwave, melt 1\/2 cup of butter and set aside.  <\/p>\n<p>Mix the peanut butter and powdered sugar.&nbsp; Add in the melted butter and mix well.  <\/p>\n<p>Fold in the cereal, and then spread evenly in a cake sized pan (13&#215;9).&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>In the microwave, melt the chocolate chips, and spread over the peanut butter mixture.
